About My 80's Hair Metal & Glam Rock Tribute Site

Glam Rock. Hair Metal. Glitter Rock. Candy Metal. Call it what you want. The fact of the matter is that there was a period of time where loud men and boys with louder and flashier guitars and lipstick ruled the music scene. The louder, the better... The more obnoxious the clothing, the better... The bigger and longer the hair, the better... and the more outrageous the exploits, the better... This seemed to be the mantra these bands followed. From 1983 until 1992, Heavy Metal and Rock and Roll were dominated by bands wearing make-up, hair teased to stand on end, leather pants and bandanas, and partying like tomorrow would never come.

This site is about those bands. This is just a project I'm undertaking to help me 1). learn HTML better, and 2). respect and pay tribute to the music that (for good or bad) influenced me heavily. I'm not out to change the world... and if you hated Glam Rock before, chances are you will still hate Glam Rock after seeing my site. That's OK. But for everyone that grew up on Glam Rock, like myself, I'm hoping you will find this site to be a fifteen minute trip back in time, and give you a break from your current obligations, worries, fears, or trouble, and remind you of an era gone, but not forgotten. I hope you enjoy checking out the bands on this site.
